Moynat S/S19 Cabotine

There are a few bags from Moynat that come in gorgeous natural cowhide leather, two of which you’re definitely familiar with. The Mini Vanity Case, a miniature cube trunk that’s made with precision and stellar craftsmanship, seen in the angle stitching technique which exemplifies the expertise of the Parisian luxury house. Then, there’s the Cabotin, a top handle bag that’s identified by the contoured ‘old school lunchbox’ silhouette and finished with two patented locks created by Moynat since the 1900s.

The third, which is also the subject of today’s post, would be the Cabotine, one that’s essentially a miniaturised version of larger sis Cabotin. Its small and compact size might remind you of a camera bag (which by the way, is a silhouette that’s all the rage this season) that opens via a single push-lock closure to a plush interior that will fit a couple of cards, cash and a compact portable charger to boot.

Now, if you’ve always loved the Cabotin but find its shape a tad bit feminine, you can definitely consider the Cabotine, one that’s meant to be slung effortlessly over the shoulder, or adjusted long and carried across the body. Priced at SGD5100, it is now available at Moynat boutiques in Singapore (Marina Bay Sands and Takashimaya Shopping Centre) in four different colours that comprise Black, Fuschia, Orange and Taupe.
