Ever so often, under-the-radar brands and designers would pop up over on the blog, one of which includes Yasu Michino, a Japanese designer who specialises in bags that come with a focus on detail and function, with designs that are created for the everyday woman in mind. He founded his eponymous handbag line in 2014, with bags designed in Paris and made in Italy using quality materials and traditional leather craftsmanship.

His signature range includes the Squarit, bags which come in a cuboid shape with double top handles and a long detachable shoulder strap, available in a myriad of seasonal colours and patterns. His latest addition? The Hello bags, which feature the word in different spoken/written languages printed on the black calfskin exterior.

Aside from Hello (English), expect to find a pretty diverse range that includes Aloha (Hawaiian), Hola (Spanish), Salut (French), 你好 (Chinese) amongst others, featured on a 20 cm by 16 cm Squarit bag silhouette. Not only does it look totally fun and cute, the bag is also high on function. Priced at EUR455 each (in comparison to the other Squarit bags that are priced above EUR1000), you’ll also be pleased to know that Michino Paris ships to Singapore for an additional EUR25. Hello!
