Dior S/S19 Lady Dior Kaleidoscopic

Dior took the idea of tie-dyeing (a technique that’s created by tying and twisting knots in the fabric before soaking it another colour) to a whole new level as seen in its Spring-Summer 2019 collection. Long flowing dresses and gowns came down the runway in a number of looks that were truly captivating, thanks to a kaleidoscopic effect that Maria Grazia Chiuri achieved by layering and mixing several prints with hand-painted flowers.

Aside from gorgeous RTW pieces, the kaleidoscopic floral motifs were also reproduced on denim bags slightly blurred with a tie-dye effect. Two bags that were spotted on the runway include the signature Book Tote, as well as the classic Lady Dior that’s featured in this post.

Made available in the standard size of 24 cm by 20 cm, the Lady Dior Kaleidoscopic (SGD5900) is finished with an aged gold-tone metal that contrasts beautifully against the hypnotic tie-dye denim body. You can carry it by hand via the double top handles, or attach the embroidered shoulder strap (SGD1500) for a cool and contemporary look that’s best worn across the body or slung effortlessly over the shoulder.

While the wide shoulder strap is currently available at Dior boutiques islandwide (ION Orchard, Marina Bay Sands and Takashimaya Shopping Centre) in a Black, Blue or Burgundy, the Lady Dior Kaleidoscopic will only arrive sometime in April 2019, which also means you should head down soon to indicate your interest.
