The wait is now over for fans of Christian Louboutin’s Run Loubi Run, with the luxury brand announcing the official launch of its very first pair of unisex runners across boutiques (Marina Bay Sands and Scotts Square) in Singapore.

Each pair comes with soles that are padded with technical foam in the heel and at the forefoot, giving you an all-round cushioning effect for maximum comfort. And yes, if you’re wondering, the soles do come with Louboutin’s unmistakable red signature engraved all over. While the bouncy foam sole is a standard fixture across all Run Loubi Run models, the upper is where it gets really interesting, with a number of options available for you to consider.

One of which includes a neoprene sock upper which is decorated with the iconic spike embellishments for a modern touch, and comes completely free of laces, making it easy to wear. Coined the Spike Sock 30 (SGD1850), the sneaker is available in a tone-on-tone Black or White neoprene upper. No prizes for guessing what the 30 bit is referring to. Still don’t know? The chunky sole’s height of course, which would make you taller by 3 cm. And if you’re eyeing the pairs that come with shiny crystals, they’re priced at tad higher at SGD1990 and are only available at the Marina Bay Sands boutique for now.

What’s more, come end February/early March, Christian Louboutin will be unveiling all-new styles that feature multicoloured uppers, asymmetrical lacing and unconventional lace loops with a mix of materials like mesh and leather. Known as the Red Runner (SGD1850), these sneakers are also part of the Run Loubi Run range for both men and women. #staytuned
