Heron Preston Tool Bag

Before going right into this quirky bag proper, here’s a little information about the man behind his namesake label, Heron Preston. Having graduated from Parsons School of Design, Preston launched streetwear label Been Trill along with other streetwear artists Justin Saunders, Matthew Williams, Virgil Abloh and YWP back in 2012. Since then, several artists have gone on to focus on their own labels like ALYX and Off-White (founded by Matthew Williams and Virgil Abloh respectively), with Preston launching his eponymous line in 2017.

The label is all about creating the unexpected, taking an unconventional spin on everyday products (especially utility wear) that’s very much true to Preston’s style and aesthetic. Take this Tool Bag (SGD1175) above for example, one that clearly looks like a tool box everyone will have at home, except it’s not. Measuring 22 cm wide and 20 cm high, the bag is made entirely out of polypropylene (essentially plastic), comes with a structured top handle and armed with a contrasting coloured nylon logo jacquard shoulder strap so you can carry it like a chic case when you’re out and about.

Finished with Heron Preston sticker labels (CTNMB) right in front, the bag which made its debut at the Spring-Summer 2019 runway show is now available for sale in two colours, Black or Orange. If you’re all for getting a statement-making piece that’s a guaranteed head-turner when you’re out in the street, you can purchase it over at Heron Preston’s e-store here.
