Hermès Sac Roulis

Let’s face it, there are days when you just want something that’s not loud, without statement logos or over-embellished hardware decorating the bag. And for those days, thankfully there’s Hermès’ Sac Roulis, one that’s best described in three words. Luxurious, minimal and refined.

Available in leather options like Evercolor, Sombrero, Swift or even exotic variations like croc and ombre lizard, the Sac Roulis is a bag that’s truly made for discerning individuals who love a luxurious-looking piece. The chain detail right in front might remind you of the iconic Chaine d’Ancre, only this time stretched wider, serving as the clasp that keeps the front flap down. It’s also worth noting that this is the only hardware element on the bag (save for the two small rings at the side for the bag straps), keeping the Sac Roulis as minimal as it can get.

Lift the flap up and you will find two accordion-like compartments separated by a central slip pocket, giving it a structured shape that allows the bag to stand upright on its own. Furnished with a long leather strap that can be worn casually across the body or looped twice like a smaller handbag under the arm, this is one bag that’s made with the refined woman in mind.

The most popular choice of leather for the Sac Roulis would be Evercolor, a soft calfskin leather that comes with a faint grained texture that’s good when standing up against accidental light nicks. Available in two handy sizes, the Sac Roulis Mini (SGD10,200) that measures 18 cm by 15 cm, and the Sac Roulis 23 (SGD11,900) that’s slightly bigger at 23 cm by 21 cm. Both sizes are now available at H boutiques islandwide, but as with all Hermès products, they come in limited quantities, so once it’s gone, it’s gone till the next shipment arrives. In other words, if you’re looking for a luxurious, minimal and refined piece, this could be it. #newyearnewbag
