Pre-Fall 2019 Coach: The Bags

Coach presented its first ever runway show in China over at the West Bund Art Center in Shanghai, with actress Chloe Grace Moretz and numerous Asian personalities (actors, models, musicians) in attendance. The collection was pretty diverse, with ample looks for both men and women, each of them carrying a different bag down the runway. While it can get tough going through every single piece in the collection, there were a number of bags that really stood out, especially some all-new silhouettes never before seen at Coach.

The flap bag that’s yet to be named came in different colours, designs and sizes, casually draped over the lady’s shoulders or across the body on the men. Though no one’s stopping you from carrying it either way, just know that this is one versatile piece that would work equally well on either gender.

Seen the cute prints that feature dinosaurs and Coach’s very own Rexy? They are in fact collaborations with Chinese creatives, such as Sui Jianguo’s T-Rex sculpture being reinterpreted into a distorted photo print, as well as YETI OUT incorporating its round face motif as a smiling dimpled face. Several bags even feature ink drawings and hand-drawn graffiti prints by Zhu Jingyi and Guang Yu as seen above; they look set to be commercial hits the moment they hit the shelves.

While there’s no word yet on when exactly this collection will be released, it is likely to be sometime in May 2019, where everything Pre-Fall 2019 starts making their debut in stores. And as always, just stay tuned for more updates if you’re keen to get one (or more) for yourself. #CoachShanghai
