Gucci Cruise Arli & Rajah Installation At Paragon Shopping Centre

Spectacular doesn’t quite cut it when describing Gucci’s Cruise 2019 show that was held in the ancient site of Alyscamps in France. Comprising more than 100 looks (114 to be specific) that came down the runway, models were decked out in over-the-top RTW pieces and wearing opulent jewellery that were an ode to the theme of Gothic architecture.

The key bags of the show? The Arli (named after the ancient French city of Arles) and Rajah (which translates to Prince/King from Sanskrit), both of which can be seen in all their full glory at the interactive Arli and Rajah installation housed within Gucci’s flagship boutique at Paragon Shopping Centre. Finished with arches and alcoves, the structure takes design cues from Gothic churches, but juxtaposed with modern finishes like neon LED lighting, reflective mirrors and even a raised reflective floor that’s perfect for disco dancing. Not.

Venturing within, you will find two versions of the Arli, a shoulder bag in 2 sizes or a double top-handle, which comes in leather, suede, or even exotics like ostrich and python. Rajah, on the other hand, comprises a wider range of bags that’s all about the majestic tiger head rendered in metal and adorned with crystals and enamel. Several styles include a large tote with chain straps, alongside smaller flap bags crafted from smooth, shiny leather.

If you would like to find out more about the bags and experience the interactive bespoke installation (and take several #OOTDs while you’re at it), just head over to Gucci’s boutique at Paragon Shopping Centre where the installation will be till 17 December 2018.
