Gucci: #GUCCIDIY GG Supreme Ophidia Tote

You’re familiar with the Ophidia Tote, one that comes with the GG Supreme body, signature red-green web stripe, and finished with brown leather details over on the side trim and handles. Now, picture that with a huge contemporary font appliquéd right in front, one that comes in materials like leather and exotics like croc or python. It could even be jazzed up with crystal studded felt – the choice is truly yours.

Part of the all-new #GucciDIY service, it is perfect for those of you who love to customise your bags, especially when you can choose your very own initial to be printed on a handy bag that’s great for the everyday. The great thing about the Ophidia Tote lies in its size and versatility, being one that looks equally good on both men and women. For this service, you can choose between the Large (43 cm by 40 cm wide) and the Maxi (52 cm by 50 cm) which carry different price tags that will be shared later in the post.

If you need visual representation of what the appliqué (alphabet) will look like on the bag, Gucci at Paragon Shopping Centre is equipped with an iPad that will show you how your chosen alphabet will appear when you hover the screen over your selected Ophidia Tote. You can also head over online to experiment before going down.

Prices start from SGD3080 for the Large with a single alphabet in leather, going up to SGD3310 if you wish to add another alphabet over at the back. One for your first name, and another for your last, perhaps? The Maxi, on the other hand, is priced at SGD3460 and SGD3710 respectively.

Now, because each alphabet appliqué requires precise technical work from Gucci artisans, you can expect a waiting time of about 6 to 8 weeks for your bag to be ready. In other words, you should head on down right now to get it done just in time for Christmas in case this is supposed to be a gift. Available exclusively at Gucci’s flagship boutique in Paragon Shopping Centre, know that the #GucciDIY also extends to sneakers (for him and for her) and knitwear, which will be shared in another post. Stay tuned.
