Off-White Industrial Canvas Belt

Before Off-White’s industrial canvas sling was spotted as a shoulder strap on its bestselling Binder Clip Bag, the piece actually had its humble origins as a long belt looped around the waists of fashionable street crowd.

Inspired by lifting slings and industrial caution tape, these belts came in a bright yellow with the Off-White logo decorated amongst bold black text and finished with two red threaded lines zipping right across the middle. The canvas itself is thick and sturdy and is made in Italy which attests to its strength and durability.

While the ‘OG’ version came in a brushed silver buckle with a 3.5 cm high yellow canvas belt, the collection has expanded over the years to include a whole range of colours, with different buckles to choose from. Take a look at these two pieces above which come in a black rubberised buckle that’s easier to manage – simply lift, slot in the belt and tug it back down.

For those of you who prefer the ‘classic’ look, go for the 3.5 cm Yellow Industrial Canvas Belt (SGD200), and if you’re all about trying something new then go for the 2.5 cm Red Industrial Canvas Belt (SGD178) that’s also a tad shorter. Both available now via Mr Porter, slide it through your favourite jeans and let the end hang loose, or loop the belt over your coat/dress; the belt’s a truly versatile piece.
