Picture Furla’s bestselling bag, the Metropolis (yes, the one that no fan of Furla will ever be without), but reinvented for Fall-Winter 2018 into a new silhouette that’s fresh, interesting, but still very much in line with the DNA of the Italian label. Presenting the all-new Fortuna, a bag that bears similarities to the Metropolis Top Handle, both of which come with a top handle, structured body, slightly curved corners and a large metal buckle that opens via the push of two side snap buttons.

Similarities aside, there are several differences that make the Fortuna a key standout piece of its own. For one, it comes in a soft nappa leather body as opposed to the hardier, textured leather on the Metropolis Top Handle. Inspired by the world of boxing, the Fortuna’s exterior features a quilted exterior consisting of a diamond and line pattern that gives it an added visual interest, something that’s rarely seen on Furla bags. Furthermore, each bag is meticulously put together by artisans who stitch the bag into place using specialised machinery that gives the bag a stronger finish in comparison with the more traditional methods of sewing.

Available in 2 sizes, Small (SGD895) and Medium (SGD1085), there’s definitely a Fortuna for everyone. The bigger size is perfect for work, having a geometric silhouette that’s suitable for formal events or work meetings. Each bag is also armed with a long strap that makes it easier to carry, especially when you need extra hands to hold your work documents and such. The Small, on the other hand, would be a cute mini bag for casual days or even double up as a chic evening piece. As for colours, there are 3 to keep an eye out for, namely Cherry, Grey and Onyx, all of which go easily with the everyday outfit.
