It’s official. This will be the first bag launched at the revamped French luxury house now known as CELINE, and the bag in question is The 16 bag, which according to the press release was what Hedi Slimane designed on his very first day of work. Taking inspiration from CELINE’s archive bags, in particular the cropped flap, as well as the belted (and rounded) features which you’ll see on the bag, the name comes from CELINE’s Parisian address at 16 Rue Vivienne, which is also where their HQ is currently based.

To be released worldwide in November 2018, The 16 bag will come in 3 sizes and a wide variety of colours.
