This is a curious one. Resembling a tambourine at first glance sans the metal discs, this is Louis Vuitton’s F/W18 Boite Chapeau Souple, a bag that as the name quite literally suggests, is a new interpretation of the classic hat box. Housed in a soft Monogram Canvas body, it measures some 22.5 cm by 20 cm (yes, it is almost a full circle) and comes with a really long sling that will allow you to wear it most any way you like: across the body, over the shoulder, or just remove it and carry it like a clutch.

Finished with its very own hanging luggage tag, polished padlock and leather patch pocket on the back of the bag, it is an interesting piece. One that doesn’t quite fit the standard norms of a bag but yet not outrightly strange. Its interior is to be accessed via its top zips where you should find enough space to fit most of your must-have essentials, it is destined to become a collector’s piece, a conversation starter and might even have future iterations moving forward if this SGD3050 bag does well on the shop floor.
