Chloé Tess Camera Bag

Chloé has always been referred to as the French brand that consistently churns out luxury goods for the ‘chic, effortless girl’, regardless of the creative head at the helm. And Natacha Ramsay-Levi proves this point well in her second collection for the label, with the introduction of two new bags for Fall-Winter 2018 named Tao and Tess. While the former is a large, everyday bag that has yet to be launched in stores, Tess is now available, which also explains today’s post.

While its saddle-shaped silhouette reminds us of the Drew, the Tess Camera Bag is in fact amped with lots more detailing that fits right in the DNA of the brand. For one, the signature ‘O’ loop is visible right in front, doubling up as an opening for the bag (also good for hooking charms from the Alphabet collection). Available in a wide array of designs, from exteriors decorated with horse embroidery to one with a water snake print calfskin version that’s pretty lush, there are also ones that come in a mix of tone-on-tone leather and suede, something that’s very much Chloé.

Compact and versatile, with dual straps, it allows you to carry it in a myriad of ways. With the short leather strap, you can carry the Tess like a handbag or sling it over the shoulder for a hands-free look. You could also sling the Tess over your body via the longer strap, one that’s detachable and adjustable up to three lengths.

Made in two sizes, there’s a Small (SGD2630) that measures 20 cm by 18.5 cm which will definitely fit a cardholder, compact wallet, portable charger (a must-have these days) and even a couple of makeup essentials. For those who prefer something slightly bigger and more ‘value-for-money’, the Large (SGD2930) is priced at SGD300 more and measures 26 cm by 22 cm. Which, if you think about it, is not exactly pricey for a bag that’s made from pure aniline leather (with a mix of suede) and equipped with two detachable straps, and that’s from a French luxury house, no less.
