Because we all crave and want something that we can’t get with sure certainty (cue certain brands and their ‘iconic’ bags with a long waitlist), Gabriela Hearst has done it again with the creation of another handbag, one that is available ‘by request only’.

Meet the Cline, a structured, boxy handbag that’s actually a trunk with a top handle. Measuring 25 cm wide and 20 cm high (without the handle) and with a depth of about 12 cm, it is roomy enough for a number of essentials like a compact makeup kit and cardholder fitted neatly within. Mini bags are all the rage these days, and is something that Gabriela Hearst has perfected ever since the creation of her signature Nina and Demi bags. Another point worth noting is that the label typically releases new bags in 2 sizes (same design but in a small and smaller version), with the Cline having a tinier sister known as the Patsy, that measures just 18 cm by 14 cm.

Both bags come with just a single top handle (again something characteristic of Gabriela Hearst bags), and opens via two lock closures that come either in a gorgeous rose gold or silver hardware. While the Cline (USD3395) is only available in leather, the Patsy comes in either leather (USD2495) or exotic croc (USD11,000) in Black or Green that’s truly luxe.
