Marni’s runway shows have always been an eclectic showcase of RTW pieces that come in a clever mix of cool prints. The Spring-Summer 2018 collection was no different, and was Francesco Risso’s second runway show for Marni since the label founder Consuelo Castiglioni’s departure in 2016. What was new and interesting, however, was Risso’s introduction of an all-new bag known as the Caddy.

It’s got all the cool details and elements integrated within one lovely magical box of a bag, such as the geometric silhouette with its signature magnetic hardware closure in the front that’s very much in line with Marni’s DNA. Each leather bag also comes with a metal and leather chain strap which can be amped up further with the addition of a second strap that’s filled with even more elements like woven cord and frayed fabrics.

In other words, the Caddy is the perfect combination of everything you’re looking for in a true blue Marni bag, which explains its higher-than-average price point, thanks in part to the extensive use of materials and craftsmanship. One of the options includes this one in a tartan print body (SGD3730, shown above), but there are other variations like bi-coloured leather (a more neutral look), as well as glitzy options in pony skin that’s dolled up further with crystal appliqué and sequins.
