Comics have a way of telling a story, and having it printed all over the runway (in select pieces as well as the entire runway space) was Miuccia Prada’s way of telling her very own story at Prada’s Spring-Summer 2018 collection for the men. Bold, graphic images created by longtime Prada collaborator James Jean together with Belgium artist Ollie Schrauwen resulted in comic frames known as Comix that were thoughtfully fragmented and jumbled up before coming together to form prints that are both visually striking and appealing all at once.
One such piece that’s also now available in Singapore is the calf leather messenger (SGD3270) that comes decorated with the comic print all over (yes, including the straps and the matching luggage tag). Available in a black or light blue body, the 28 cm by 24 cm size makes it perfect for men who now all seem to want smaller than small bags.
Sling the bag across the shoulder or clutch it within the palms (because it’s small enough to qualify as one). Function wise though, you can be sure that Prada’s got you covered, with not just one but two cellphone pockets and a zippered pocket within a roomy interior.
