Before going into the description proper, here’s a little bit of history about the name behind train case. Merriam-Webster defines it as ‘a small boxlike piece of luggage especially used for toilet articles’, which has its roots dating back to the 1940s, when a key mode of transport was trains. Back then, instead of unbuckling heavy trunks to find certain key essentials, the latter was stored in a mini bag, one that contained articles like cosmetic items and personal accessories, that grew to be known as a train case.
