While the fashion world eagerly awaited Clare Waight Keller’s debut for the storied house, the men and women working in the studios powered on silently with RTW collections and even created a new line of bags known as the Infinity. And this year, as part of its Cruise 2018 collection, another bag made her debut that’s simply known as Sway.
What’s interesting about the Sway is how its elements are very much in line with Givenchy bags past and present. The single top handle? Pandora. The smooth front leather panel in a streamlined font? Horizon. Even the way the sides fold over reminds us of a Nightingale, except with the Sway, the sides can be secured by snapping both ends down or left loose for that trapezoid-like silhouette.
Good looks aside, the Sway is every bit as functional. For one, the angled logo envelope flap hides an exterior front pocket that’s perfect for easy-to-reach items without having to unzip the whole bag. Its single top handle means you can easily wear it over your shoulder with no fuss. Or wear it across the body via its adjustable sling. The interior comes with a zip pocket as well as an extra flap compartment tucked within for extras.
Available in two sizes, the Small measures 30 cm wide and 18 cm high, while the Medium comes in at 37 cm by 22 cm, so there’s definitely a size for your specific needs. Priced at SGD2800 and SGD3150 respectively, they are now available in Givenchy boutiques locally in an array of colours.
