At first glance, this Brimley, from Mulberry’s F/W17 collection, is pretty easy on the eyes. Dark amethyst mock croc that’s further adorned with crystal bejewelled vines that ‘creep’ around the front of the bag. Measuring some 27.5 cm by 24 cm, its other most distinguishing feature has got to that top handle, which somehow has that retro, vintage vibe about it. And if you were to take that away, it would be almost similar to the other F/W17 Mulberry offering, the Amberly.

Worn as a shoulder bag, or carried via its top handle, it is available online via Mulberry for GBP2833, or around SGD5100 after conversion. No, not cheap at all.

If, however, you really like the shape but want something more affordable, then check out the Brimley that comes in leather and suede then finished with a croc-print handle. At just GBP1568, it’s definitely priced in the entry-level range that’s more palatable to most.
