When something is sold out the moment it hits the shelves, you know you’ve got a winner, and yes I’m talking about Louis Vuitton’s Monogram Canvas Small Hat Box. Part of the Cruise 2018 collection, it is the French luxury house’s latest take on the original hat box from days of yore when wealthy women (or men) would travel the world with huge round-shaped trunks that could hold up to 4 hats.

Today’s Small Hat Box is of course much smaller, and you’ll find it hard to actually fit any hat within. Instead, it is to be used as a bag, which comes with its very own vachetta leather top handle and specially designed luggage tag. There’s also a removable sling, which you can just pop on, sling the bag across the body and head out if you so feel like it.

Priced at SGD5800 and available in Monogram Canvas, it is currently sold out at Louis Vuitton boutiques across Singapore but don’t let that stop you from heading down and putting yourself on the wait list because it is a permanent addition to the collection. As for the one in Monogram Reverse (which you can see for yourself at the ongoing #LVTimeCapsule exhibition), it’s gone for good.
