Loewe x William Morris Capsule Collection

There’s never a dull moment with Loewe these days, what with Creative Director J.W. Anderson pushing enough boundaries to guarantee surprises every time you step into the boutique. From the recently launched Rainbow collection that was perfect for Pride to tiny leather mice bag charms, there’s always something quirky and whimsical everywhere you turn.

Loewe’s also been big on collaborations with artists of late, with the William Morris one being the latest cherry on the cake. A renowned British textiles designer, artist and writer from the 1800s, Anderson picked 4 different prints from Morris & Co.’s archives, namely Acanthus, Forest, Honeysuckle and Strawberry Thief, which he translated into RTW, bags and accessories for Loewe. Now that the backstory has been explained and all, let’s have a better look at the goodies that are available for pre-order now online.

But before all that happens, have a look at the details. This is the Hammock covered in one of the Morris prints that’s almost entirely made of canvas. Intentionally faded with the best of intentions (you know, that whole vintage look is still pretty in now), it is accented with leather straps and tabs and finished with zipper pulls in bright orange leather.

Then there’s the Puzzle in another print, this time with the pattern printed onto grained leather. Definitely intended for those into quirky designs, it’s another head-turner no fashionista should be without.

You’ve seen the bags (well, some of them anyway), now enjoy the other pieces in the collection which also include the Barcelona and the Elephant. Then there are the adorable little SLGs that include everything from zip wallets to an actual bag charm/pouch in the shape of a strawberry (this should be Strawberry Thief) that’s oh-so-cute. And with Christmas just around the corner, it’s time to hit this link and put your pre-orders in. If there’s something you want that’s not available online yet however, just head down to Loewe boutiques at Marina Bay Sands, Paragon and Takashimaya Shopping Centre and I’m pretty sure the sales peeps will sort it out for you.
