Okay, I’ve said it before and I’m saying it again. Put flowers on a bag and it’s a guaranteed winner, and there’s no better example than Bottega Veneta’s Cruise 2018 selections of botanical-printed Knot clutches and intrecciato leather covered with meadow flowers (essentially geometrically shaped flower embroidery) that literally charmed our hearts from the get-go the moment I laid eyes on it.

With the botanical print group, you can expect nothing but intricate shades printed onto the house’s signature Knot bag. The keyword is intricate, because creating such a detailed print comprising butterflies, field grass and wildflowers in over 30 different colours takes a delicate amount of work, with getting just the right colour tone on the iconic Knot a mean feat in itself. The end result? A bag that’s even more elegant and sophisticated than it already is.

The Meadow Flower collection, on the other hand, is more suited for the youthful and contemporary individual who’s looking for something fun and fanciful on an otherwise simple intrecciato leather bag. 12 different geometric shapes are embroidered over the different bags which mimic fresh floral clippings dancing within the leather weaves.
