Van Cleef & Arpels Perlée Collection

Standing alongside Van Cleef’s iconic jewellery lines like Alhambra, Bouton d’or and Frivole, the Perlée is one that’s all about those perfectly round gold beads. Embodying almost a century’s worth of heritage and history, these golden beads have been featured in the Maison’s creations since the 1920s, starting out as a supporting design element by forming the border around stones and other motifs. Over time, the humble golden beads evolved to become an standout signature in its own right, coming together to form the Perlée collection in 2008.

Come September 2017, the Perlée family extends further to include an all-new bracelet (SGD11,300) and ring (SGD3650) that’s all about more-is-more, with rows of golden beads stacked atop each other to create a unique three-dimensional effect. The golden numbers are 3 rows on the ring and 5 rows on the bracelet, but no one is stopping you from stacking ring upon ring, bracelet upon bracelet to have even more rows of golden goodness on your finger or wrist respectively. And while you simply slide the ring over your finger, the bracelet on the other hand unclasps easily via a discrete clasp mechanism that’s found in the single larger bead.

Priding itself in its famed mirror-polishing technique (one that gives each jewellery piece an extra shine and radiance), each Perlée bead is individually polished, giving the gold a radiant gleam that reflects beautifully under the light with your every move. From the meticulous polishing to the setting of the individual beads, you can be sure that each step of the creation of the Perlée comes from the Maison’s unique expertise and craftsmanship.

With the bracelets made available in 3 sizes, you can wear them individually or with the rings, simply mix and match them up with other pieces from the Perlée collection; the choice is all yours. Available at Van Cleef & Arpels boutiques this September 2017, simplicity does meet elegance with the Perlée.
