Goyard Artois MM & PM

If you breathe, dream and love Goyard, you would already know about the Artois, a recent addition to the French atelier’s family of lightweight Goyardine bags. Named Artois because of the bag’s position as the little brother to the Saint Louis (Saint Louis refers to French king Louis IX, and Comte d’Artois was the name of his brother), what you might not know is the fact that very soon, a new size will be available.

Let me explain. Goyard first launched the Artois PM back in 2014, and sometime this week, the Artois MM will be made available. Made exactly the same as its predecessor with all the trimmings (reinforced base, sturdier handles, zipper closure on top), the only difference is the size which is much larger than the PM. In other words, whilst the PM size was definitely more suited for the ladies, the boys can now rejoice that a more suitable size will be made available just for them.

Available in Goyardine canvas which includes both regular and special colours totalling 11 in all (Black, Black/Tan, Blue, Green, Grey, Navy, OrangeRed, Wine, White and Yellow), there’s also a slightly more special customisation service available just for this model. Available only on the day of purchase at no extra cost (yay!), one can choose up to three letters that will come without shading in a single font and size. Two placement positions are also possible, on the front of the bag, or side of the tote.

And while there’s no word yet on its official prices or if the new style will be available in Singapore soon, your best bet is to plan a trip down to Goyard’s flagship at 233 rue Saint Honoré the next time you’re in Paris. More updates to come.

Update: 13 September 2017
This just in. For those heading to Paris soon, the prices are as follows. For the Artois PM it will retail for EUR1090 and EUR1420 respectively for the regular and special colours, while the Artois MM comes in at EUR1290 and EUR1680.
