Fan of Moynat? Here’s more good news. Moynat Gallery in Singapore will be having its official opening at Ngee Ann City come 6 September 2017, which means you can only expect more things to come at the gorgeous boutique that’s designed by Tokyo-based designer Gwanel Nicolas. Walking through the curved ceiling that very much resembles Moynat’s signature Limousine trunk, you can expect added services like personalisation offerings (hand-painted initials and illustrations on your bags and wallets, anyone?) as well as custom orders for bespoke trunks and bags from the boutique’s grand opening day.

Fan of the iconic Réjane? Even better news. An exclusive selection of Réjane bags have been crafted specially for the Singapore boutique. Known as the Crocodile Céramique Réjane, it refers to the bag’s finish that’s inspired by the ancient art of glazing Asian ceramics (think celadon and you’ll know what I mean). The result is a soft, almost ceramic-like effect on the crocodile skin with in two shades (Celadon and Colbalt) that range from light to dark, a delicate hue achieved through an intense dyeing and polishing technique researched in depth by the House’s artistic director, Ramesh Nair.

To be made available during the week of the boutique’s official opening in Singapore, these truly unique pieces have to be appreciated up close in order for you to understand the kind of savoir faire that not only goes into working the exotic skins to achieve the desired palette, but also the kind of craftsmanship that Moynat is now renowned for.

And for those who want something more functional to use on a daily basis that’s also memorable, I hear there will be specially hand-painted leather Quattro totes featuring a Singaporean icon that you should also most definitely check out.
