Dior F/W17 Dior Oblique Canvas Collection

‘Old is new again’ seems to be the recurring theme amongst the luxury houses this year, and Dior, under the creative direction of Maria Grazia Chiuri, is no different. And if you find the monogram print familiar, it is because you were probably a big fan of Sex And The City and drooled every time Carrie Bradshaw whipped out her Dior bags. Yes, hers were in a different colour, but there’s no mistaking the Dior Oblique canvas.

Updated for the Fall-Winter 2017 collection and expanded into a much larger collection of bags with many different styles, these new bags are a beautiful combination of new and old, the new being the aged gold-tone hardware juxtaposed against the old monogram print. And the star of the collection? The Dioraddict flap bag (centre front), what with its boxy good looks finished with a thick canvas strap.

Behind the Dioraddict bag we’ve got the small duffle bag to the right and the Dioravenue to the left. With the former resembling a doctor’s bag and the latter more a bucket bag, these are perfect for those who prefer their small bags roomy. Paradoxical, I know, but once you head down to Dior boutiques islandwide and try them out for yourself, you’ll know exactly what I mean.

Priced at SGD5300, SGD3800 and SGD4200 for the Dioraddict, small duffle and Dioravenue respectively, all 3, along with many others, are now available in Singapore. And the one I like the most (the Dioraddict) has got to be the most expensive of the trio. #FML
