How I missed this completely I’ll never understand, but since it is still available now at Furla boutiques and counters in Singapore, I won’t hate on myself completely. It’s cute, it’s quirky and it’s virtually an actual inflatable, yes, I’m talking about Furla’s S/S17 Metropolis Oxygen that’s the perfect fun bag to have all year round.

Modelled after their famed Metropolis bags, this tiny bag is the ideal beach/pool companion, measuring just 16 cm by 14 cm. With a rear valve allowing for rapid inflation and deflation (no, I’m not kidding about the fact that it is also an inflatable), the gold-tone hardware clasp, along with its long gold-tone sling, it has perhaps the most glamourous touches on any inflatable around. What’s more, it comes in a huge range of colours, from metallics like Gold and Silver to fun bright hues like Blue, Pink and Yellow.

Priced at SGD325 in Singapore, here’s a pro-tip if you want to get yourself one stat for the pool party next week. Shopbop is having a sale on these and they are priced at just USD142 which is a great bargain. Oh yes, even though they are inflatable (and they float), they aren’t exactly 100% waterproof so please make sure you don’t place actual leather goods inside the bag, ok?
