Fall-Winter 2017 Mens Louis Vuitton

I’ll be honest, this should have been a new post that focussed on the upcoming #LVxSupreme pieces that’s part of the FW/17, but with Louis Vuitton playing coy with anything related to that much-anticipated collaboration between the French luxury house and streetwear giant Supreme, here’s everything else from the Fall-Winter 2017 Mens Louis Vuitton collection instead.

Don’t get me wrong – the rest of the collection isn’t shabby at all, with most everything from bags and SLGs to shoes and accessories beautifully thought out by the man who can do no wrong, Kim Jones. And speaking of accessories, first let us savour the DJ turnable that comes in its very own Monogram Macassar trunk. If I have the money/skills/space, this would be it.

Next we’ve got part of the collection that’s mostly in browns, from the backpack I love (Christopher PM) in mixed materials that’s part-Monogram Canvas and part-Epi in a variety of gorgeous earth tones. Then there is the massive Monogram Initials bag made solely for the use of storing (and transporting) vinyl records, along with a smattering of SLGs from the same line. Why Monogram Initials? Because the initials (in black leather) are literally stitched onto the Monogram Canvas surface for a look that’s truly graphic. And because this FW17 collection is big on mixed materials, you’ll even find pieces like the belt that comes with Monogram Canvas on the outside and Epi on the inside.

If Monogram Canvas isn’t your thing, here are some of the mostly-Epi bag and SLGs that you’ll find from F/W17, from the sling bag that’s mostly Epi on the front and trimmed with Monogram Eclipse on the side to a dash of SLGs in the same finish. You’ll also find more belts, scarves and of course, another set of pins that will rival even the #LVxFragment ones.

As usual, no word yet on their exact release dates (or prices in SGD) so expect more updates soon. On these and hopefully on the Supreme pieces. #fingerscrossed
