Pre-Fall 2017 Gucci Ad Campaign

Luxury brands have always been criticised for ignoring or simply casting token models of colour whenever it came to their ad campaigns or runway presentations. In the hands of Alessandro Michele, however, Gucci has surged way ahead, casting their entire Pre-Fall 2017 Gucci ad campaign with an all-black cast of models and dancers.

Taking cues about black masculinity and dandyism from the Made You Look exhibition which ran at London’s Photographer’s Gallery, it’s a colourfully exuberant campaign that’s the perfect backdrop for Michele’s latest creations that capture the dynamism, vibrance and spontaneity of the 60s.

In other words, so much to love.
