Proenza Schouler PS1+

It’s been awhile since I last talked about the PS1 bag.

Not the PS11, nor the various wallets and wallet on chains Proenza has to offer, but the PS1. The one that started it all. Proenza Schouler has come a long way, having had commercial appeal both in their bags and accessories season after season. And today, it’s all about the new variation of the PS1, the PS1+.

Launched as part of its Pre-Spring 2017 collection, you can consider it the younger sister to the PS1. What sets the PS1+ apart are its sturdier, structured look along with changes to the interior, a new enamel logo tag and a revamped shoulder strap.

The PS1+ Tiny comes in 5 different colours – Black, Cypress, Geranium, Indigo and Sand, while the Medium comes in the same 4, except Cypress. What’s new also about the PS1+ Medium is that it comes with a longer strap this time around, so that you can carry the bag cross-body, which wasn’t possible previously on its predecessor.

If, however, you wanna jazz up your existing PS1 bag (i.e. not spend money on the new style), do take a look at the brand’s new Whipstitch Strap instead. It’s a custom woven leather and chain shoulder strap with contrasting whipstitch detail; it’s adjustable and includes a double toggle closure. This easily detachable bag strap can be attached to your existing PS1 bags or onto the PS1+ for a refreshed look.

Retailing at SGD2230 for the PS1+ Tiny, and SGD2660 for the PS1+ Medium at their boutique over at Marina Bay Sands, prices are slightly lower than Proenza Schouler’s online e-store, so I say it’s worth going down to take a look.

Look, touch, buy. You’re most welcome. #happyshopping
