New year, new season, new Artistic Director. And in the case of French luxury house Dior, that’s exactly what 2017 will bring, with Maria Grazia Chiuri now firmly at the helm. Besides presenting a collection that is a huge departure from her predecessor (and setting the course for the brand’s new direction), you’ll also be able to get a sense of her creative sensitivities with the the launch of the new Spring-Summer 2017 Womens Dior ad campaign.
Starring a pair of twin models, Ruth and May Bell, the campaign is lensed by French photographer Brigitte Lacombe, one who is renowned for taking the most intimate of portraits. Intentionally sparse, the campaign doesn’t distract with opulent sets or big-name models; instead it focuses squarely on Chiuri’s interpretation of the new Dior woman that’s all about celebrating her modern beauty’s femininity, sensuality and strength.
