Bottega Veneta: When Your Own Initials Are Enough

When Your Own Initials Are Enough.’ Bottega Veneta’s longstanding motto is perhaps even more apt now with the introduction of Singapore’s first-ever Customisation Atelier, a dedicated space set within the Italian luxury label’s newly reopened flagship store on the ground level of ION Orchard. Singapore also joins the ranks of glamorous fashion capitals like New York City, Milan, London and Paris to have its very own Customisation Atelier, further reinforcing Bottega Veneta’s commitment to offer more speciality services to its customers here and in the immediate region.

So what exactly can you customise at Bottega Veneta’s atelier here? Well, for starters there are 12 women’s classics, from the icons like the Cabat, the Knot and the Veneta bags, to selected SLGs like continental and zip-around wallets, just to name a few. Men can choose from among 4 bags to customise, including a briefcase and a document case.

After you decide on a style (or styles, because why do you need to stop at one, right?), you’ll be invited to choose from a pair of thick hardcover-bound ‘books’ containing leathers of all kinds, including precious skins like crocodile and ostrich in a mouth-watering array of colours that will please even the most Pantone-specific amongst you.

All finished with a personalised silver plaque that will be located internally, or with your own initials embossed directly onto your selected piece, you might still be able to make it for Christmas if you head down soon to place your one-of-a-kind order. For further enquiries, or to book your own appointment (though walk-ins are also welcomed), please call 6238-0020.

Dear BB, do you happen to have more details on the mens’ customised bags?

In particular I’m wondering if: a) a messenger style bag is available for customisation? b) these custom bags are all actually woven a la the Cabat, or simply made by slotting strips into perforations like the regular off-the-shelf bags?

    Thanks BB!

No messenger styles for CA, and styles available only include briefcases, document cases and tote bags.

All customsised bags are represented in different combination of styles/materials. Different techniques/processes are applied according to the styles selected, and everything you order is crafted from scratch.
