Every time I walk past a Kate Spade New York store in Singapore, I will find myself walking in subconsciously, and no, it’s not because of this sale or that sale that they always seem to have. I walk in because almost without fail every season, Kate Spade will launch a quirky clutch made entirely of some plastic, be it acrylic or resin, and because I’m a sucker for cute, I will almost always end up with one.

There was a lucky cat one from 2014, and a gnome from 2015, both of which I own. For 2016, there’s this, the Kate Spade New York Resin Ship Clutch that won’t look out of place on my shelf beside the other two. Measuring almost 26 cm across by 12 cm, the resin clutch is certainly roomy and it comes lined with jacquard fabric. There’s also a sling, so you can either wear it over the shoulder or just tuck it all away and use it as a clutch.

Besides being cute (and so collectible, especially for a hoarder like me), clutches like these will also never fade, never attract mould and are guaranteed to last a lifetime. And because they are seasonal, you almost never bump into someone else carrying the exact same clutch, which is a plus too, if you ask me.
