Apple iPhone7 & iPhone7Plus

If you know me personally, you’ll know how much I spend on screen protectors and phone cases on my iPhone (over the years, more than the actual phones themselves), which some might call an obsession. I, however, prefer to think of it as devotion, devotion to one of the greatest mobile phones I’ll ever use. But this post isn’t about me (as usual), it’s about Apple’s new iPhone7 and iPhone7Plus that will be launched in Singapore come 16 September 2016.

Quickly scanning through Apple’s official press release, these bits jumped out at me. From dual 12-megapixel cameras that allow depth of field, and new Earpods with Lighting connector, to 2 new colours, an anodised matte black (yay!) as well as a glossy jet black housed in a new shell that’s also water-resistant.

Because most of its new features are quite self-explanatory, here’s more information on the new Earpods (shown above, left). Completely wireless and housed in their own charging case, the SGD238 earphones (yes, they are sold separately) can be connected to the iPhone7 via the Lightning Connector, as well as a headphone jack adapter that allows customers to use old headphones and accessories.

Available in 32GB, 128GB and 256GB models starting at SGD1048, silver, gold, rose gold and the new black matte finish can be pre-ordered from www.apple.com/sg, authorised resellers and various telcos from 7 September, while the one in glossy jet black will only be sold online via www.apple.com/sg as an exclusive, and will only come in 128GB and 256GB models.

Prices. In Singapore, the iPhone7 in 32GB, 128GB and 256GB will retail for SGD1048, SGD1218 and SGD1388 respectively, while the iPhone7Plus in 32GB, 128GB and 256GB will be priced at SGD1248, SGD1418 and SGD1588.

In other words, all I need to do now is to decide on the colour. Which is easy. Matte black, of course. And remember to bookmark this post, because once I get more information I’ll be back with more updates.
