What do two knots, a sun, a mirror, a wallet and a panda have in common? Well, for one thing they are all new arrivals at Loewe, and for another thing, they are currently my favourite picks from the upcoming season. Yes, folks, after the Puzzle and the Yago, my next #bagcrush was (and still is) the Flamenco Knot, with one of this season’s iterations featuring a contrasting square on the front of the bag.

Functional and easy on the eyes with at least 3 ways of carrying the bag, the one in S that measures 26 cm by 24 cm gets top marks for being the perfect weekend companion (from SGD2290), while the larger one (32 cm by 28.5 cm, from SGD2890) is a pretty good workhorse as well.

Then there’s the ‘sun’ on the 30.5 cm by 20.5 cm T Pouch (SGD2290), a leather zip clutch that’s another essential as far as Loewe is concerned. A new F/W16 addition to the mens’ collection, you’ll be surprised at how roomy it is on the inside. I would know, I own one from J.W.Anderson’s first collection for Loewe and it’s my natural go-to whenever I need to lug my battery pack, mints, keys and wallet, along with other bits and bobs, when I’m out and about.

Rounding up my first picks from the F/W16 collection are a mirror charm that’s sheathed in black leather (SGD690), a small wallet that’s part-billfold and part-coin pouch (SGD690) and last but by no means least, the most adorable of pandas that’s also a bag charm (SGD590), complete with a zip on top to store your loose change and a D-ring on its butt for you to attach it to your bag.
