Consider this your first in-depth look at Gucci’s bag-of-the-season from their Fall-Winter 2016 collection, the GG Marmont Shoulder that if you can recall, was also the first bag on the first look that opened the show and came down the runway. And while there’s more to the GG Marmont family than just these shoulder slings (there are structured shoulder bags, a top handle tote and even a backpack, by the way), this one, the shoulder sling, is the one you’ll be seeing lots of in the coming months.
Available in 2 different sizes, the Mini measures 22 cm by 13 cm, while the regular one spans 31 cm across by 19 cm. Made up almost entirely of matelassé chevron leather (or in the case of the two at the bottom that are actually matelassé velvet, how lush), you can wear the slings long or short, depending on your mood, which means you can go from over the shoulder to across the body faster than you can say Alessandro Michele, just by adjusting the sling.
Anchored with an antiqued-finished GG logo (and matching gold-tone hardware on the sling), the surprise is actually on the back of this bag. Yes, on the back of every GG Marmont Shoulder there’s a heart that’s stitched into the leather, a constant reminder of how much you love Gucci these days.
Priced at SGD2230 and SGD2590 for the ones in leather in Mini and Small, and SGD1870 (Mini) and SGD2260 (Small) for the ones in velvet, you’ll be pleased to know that these beauties are now also available in Singapore.

What is the price of the one in leather, medium size?
So pretty!!! Saw them for real at Paragon today! Too in love with all the colours!
Cool! Have you decided on which one you’ll be bringing home?
I am torn between the black and the black/white!!!
Saw this yesterday. Pretty cute. For my body the strap is not long enough to cross…
I suppose they’re all canvas-lined, are they?
No, not canvas, but microfiber lining that has a suede-like finish. Much like what LV uses for most of their bags too.
