It’s funny how every time I start on a new Saint Laurent post, I feel the need to explain the fact that Hedi Slimane’s out and Anthony Vaccarello’s in, as if in denial, but it’s a fact that can’t and won’t change. Maybe I’m just sentimental, but fashion has proven that it waits for no one and more than ever, it’s just become a game of constant musical chairs. So while we all wait and see what Vaccarello comes out with, life does indeed go on, and we’ll still go about our ways and of course, buying new bags.

Bags like the new Monogram Saint Laurent Sunset, which I’m presuming was conceived during Hedi’s reign at the French luxury house.

Measuring 22 cm by 16 cm for the one in the Medium, it’s pretty much a case of what-you-see-is what-you-get, a simple-enough, straightforward leather shoulder bag that comes with its own metal sling that allows you to wear it two ways, long as a crossbody piece, or short as a shoulder sling. Featuring a front pocket attached to the main compartment that can be ‘covered’ with the front flap with its magnetic snap button, it’s currently available in stores locally and is priced at SGD3010.
