I know, I know, if it isn’t bad enough that its name is already a mouthful, Saint Laurent’s (and here goes) Large Monogram Saint Laurent Satchel In Mixed Matelassé Leather is most certainly an eyeful as well. Quilted here, chevron there, and busier than a bee come hatching day at the hive, it’s definitely one of those bags that you either love at first sight, or never want to see ever again.

Measuring some 31 cm across by 21.5 cm in height, it’s full leather, it comes with its own YSL signature clasp right smack middle and a sling you can either use to wear across the body or over the shoulder, depending on how you manoeuvre it, of course. Available in Black or Dark Anthracite, it will also come in full suede leather, but given what our weather is like in the tropics, I would suggest you avoid it like overdue soured milk.

And then there’s this, which I do think is more interesting, the tri-colour that comes in a mix of Burgundy, Dark Green and Navy. Smaller than the former at just 27 cm by 17 cm, the most gorgeous bit has got to be its gold-tone hardware which gives it just the right bit of oomph.
