It’s been a while since I posted anything about Fauré Le Page, one of the newest players from Paris that I accidentally discovered when I was walking along Rue Cambon that fateful day. Playing on their heritage as an armoury maker back when it was established in 1717, it supplied arms to the French courts and even the revolution in 1789. Today, however, I’m happy to report the only dangerous things they make are their bags and SLGs, dangerous to your credit line and wallet, to be specific.
With the now recognisable monogram print that’s actually made up of a gun barrel’s cross-section, this new clutch is meant to commemorate France’s upcoming national day (which falls on 14 July, to be exact) and comes adorned with 3 medals. From left to right, we’ve got the Coup de Tête (the warrior helmet), the Coup de Chance (the maison’s lucky number with Cupid’s arrow) and Coup de Coeur (love, obviously) positioned on the clutch’s leather flap, which also comes with a handy (and removable) sling.
Priced at EUR1110, do note that to buy this (or any of FLP’s lovely bags or SLGs), you’ll still either have to visit their store along Rue Cambon (which is just beside Chanel’s flagship in Paris, if you must know), their concession in Osaka’s Hankyu Department Store or via email communication. Yes, you can just send them an email ([email protected]), send in your credit card details and a bag (or two) will be shipped to you most anywhere in the world. #happyshopping
