Louis Vuitton F/W16 Camouflage Collection

I’ll be honest. Seeing these pieces from Louis Vuitton’s F/W16 collection which are already in Singapore, by the way, just makes me yearn for the Monogramouflage collection even more. Yes, that collection, a collaboration by Japanese artist Takashi Murakami and then Creative Director Marc Jacobs this is not. This is simply the Camouflage collection, a smallish selection of bags and SLGs for men that’s not exactly blowing my socks (or anyone else’s, I’m sure, for that matter) off.

Even S/S16’s Brushstroke Camouflage collection was way better, while this one, simply known as the Camouflage collection is exactly what it is, a camouflage pattern printed on Damier Cobalt coated-canvas that will come in either Bordeaux (shown above) or Bleu, which is basically blue on blue on Damier Cobalt. How exciting, right?

As I mentioned earlier, most of these pieces are already in stores, and despite anything I say, some of you will be rushing down ASAP to get these pieces anyway, so I’ll tell you this. Your best bet would be head down to Louis Vuitton’s Island Maison at MBS or ION Orchard, where you’ll be fighting off your Northern cousins for a piece of the action.

Now that we’ve really established the fact I’m really not a fan of this collection (now here’s a thought, bring Monogramouflage back!), let me tell you what I really want from LV’s F/W16 collection. I have 4 words for you. Monogram Eclipse. And Monogram Illusion. Now those are truly LVOE. More updates to come, I promise.
