I’ve been blogging a lot about shoulder sling bags lately, and it seems like they are indeed THE bag style for Spring-Summer 2016. Just last week alone there were at least 3, from Coach’s Dinky to Gucci’s Sylvie to Mulberry’s Clifton. Yes, most everything has a little sling number for the season and Spanish luxury house Loewe is no different.

The easiest way to describe the Avenue? Remember the T Pouch, one of the first clutches that was launched by Loewe after J.W. Anderson took over? Well, it’s almost the same thing, except with the addition of a front flap and a long leather/metal sling. Yes, that’s right, you could almost consider the Avenue the girl’s version of the T Pouch.

Measuring 29 cm across by 16 cm, all the Avenue bags now come in embossed in the house monogram (Anagram is what they call it), and for this season it comes in at least 6 colours, from the ones in Stone and Electric Blue (shown above) to others in Primary Red and Yellow, for example. Priced at SGD1550, the price is pretty decent for something that’s almost entirely made of calf leather, and one bag that will age well given how their leather is.
