Spring-Summer 2016 Womens Dior Ad Campaign

This girl is perfection. And that basically sums up Jennifer Lawrence in a sentence, who, by the way, also returns as THE face for Dior’s Spring-Summer 2016 ad campaign. Shot by photographer Mario Sorrenti in a typically Parisian apartment (wait, does that even matter anyway?), all eyes are definitely on Ms Lawrence, what with her wispy soft hair and a gaze that could start a thousand revolutions (ok, make that 999 since she already did it once in the Hunger Games).

Then there are the supporting actresses in the campaign, which are the Diorama and Diorever which you’ll see above on the left and right respectively. Yes, the Diorama isn’t exactly a new bag, but it’s a stunning one, especially in that shiny patent with Micro-Cannage motif that’s embossed onto the leather.

Which brings us to the Diorever, a new bag from Dior that’s also their answer to the structured work tote with short top handles. Yes, I won’t deny that it looks like that other bag from that other French luxury house that everyone wants at first glance, but if you were to sit down with it and see how it works, you’ll realise the many differences.

For starters, the fold-over flap can be worn as it is over the bag, or ‘turned’ backwards where it meets a magnetic closure to keep the bag ‘open’. Extremely roomy on the inside, there’s an entire open compartment with patch pockets on either side, along with another compartment that runs the entire side of the bag that’s good for cards, cash and the like. It also comes with a removable sling, made available in 3 sizes and will come in a variety of lovely colours and finishes to suit most anyone.

But enough about the Diorever for now (I’ll be back soon with another post on the colours, sizes and prices in SGD for this new bag), for now let us just all gaze at the magnificence that is J.Law. Yes, I’m a #fanboy.
