Gucci Tian, inspired by 18th-century tapestries and screens is Alessandro Michele’s homage to what a heavenly Chinese landscape should look like, a dreamy floral world that is inhabited by insects and birds, from butterflies and dragonflies to hummingbirds and long-tailed pheasants coexisting harmoniously as they flit from branch to branch heaving with blooms and fruit.

And because there’s no point creating such a beautiful print if you’re not going to put it on something that we can actually use, February 2016 sees the launch of Gucci’s S/S16 Tian capsule collection for both men and women, where you’ll find a selection of RTW, bags, SLGs and shoes amongst other items from you to choose from.
Featuring a special laser-print method that overlays the #GucciTian motif over Gucci’s much-loved GG Supreme canvas, you’ll find a pretty extensive collection of bags, from shoulder slings to backpacks to totes for both the girls and the boys, along with a smattering of other essentials, like iPhone6 and iPhone6Plus cases, and of course, most everyone’s style essential these days, a flat zip clutch.

Then there is the footwear, from high-top sneakers and loafers to espadrilles and everything else in-between, each more elaborately decorated than the last and guaranteed to add some much-needed auspiciousness to your Lunar New Year wardrobe.
Yes, the new Gucci Tian collection is now available, either online via Net-A-Porter (just click here to shop) or locally through Gucci boutiques in Singapore including their stores at Paragon and Marina Bay Sands.
Now excuse me while I go dream about this briefcase/suitcase hybrid of a bag that’s also easily my favourite from the whole collection. Would make sure a gorgeous carry-on, don’t you think?
