Shot by famed photographer Juergen Teller and starring models Vera Van Erp, Regitze Christensen and Karly Loyce, the new Spring-Summer 2016 Céline ad campaign is the perfect case study as far as bad digital imaging (in other words, #photoshopfail) is concerned.
From badly etched out hair to models seemingly cut and pasted onto another background, you could say it’s all intentional, because when it comes to Celine’s Phoebe Philo, nothing is an accident. You could say she’s just keeping it real and letting the RTW and accessories like bags and shoes shine, taking a step away from glossy, and overly touched-up campaigns that are the norm these days.
From the Twisted Cabas in new colour combinations to the Trotteur in soft pastel hues, I promise there will be more updates in the days to come. But for now, do marvel at how #uglybeautiful the campaign is.
I am wondering what are they trying to express with this series of ads…
