Now that you’ve settled most of the Christmas gifts for the loved ones in your life (click here if you haven’t), it’s time to turn our attention to the other gifts we have to get. You know, the ones for co-workers, Secret Santas or casual friends that well, don’t rank as high as the cherished few on the top of the present pyramid. Or it could be simply for those that you wish to get a nice enough gift without spending too much, which in our day and age is actually still possible.

My personal motto? Just because it isn’t expensive doesn’t mean it needs to be boring, and as this curated guide will prove, you can still give beautifully with these interesting picks that won’t break the bank. More specifically, make it memorable, make it fun, and if it’s also functional as well at the end of the day, that would be an added bonus too.

Still not convinced? Know someone who loves Words With Friends? Get him (or her) the Scrabble set that comes in a handsome box with retro-style tiles. Or someone who’s always hoping to strike it rich with the lottery? Well, they’ll will appreciate Be@rbrick’s Maneki Neko then. Any local foodies amongst the people you know? Get them some Local Food postcards from Frus then, which teaches the alphabet the local food way, from C’s carrot cake to R’s roti john. Get the picture? I mean, the postcards.
