Nike Flyknit Racer

Once you go Flyknit Racer you don’t ever go back. Which was sadly what happened to me when I was first introduced to them earlier this year. Besides being supremely lightweight and truly comfortable on the feet, they have developed a cult status around them, with whole Instagram accounts devoted to Flyknit Racer shoes past and present.

Often sold out as fast as they are released, you then find them on the secondary market selling for twice or even triple their retail, which makes acquiring them both alluring and frustrating at the same time.

But if you have been looking for a pair (they are unisex, by the way), you’re in luck. Over on Nike’s US site you’ll find 4 different pairs still available, from the much-coveted Black/White (otherwise known as the Oreo 2.0) to the new White/Game Royal/Green Strike/Black. And then there are Blue Lagoon/Polarized Blue/Ghost Green/Black and the Bright Citrus/Blue Lagoon/Laser Orange/Black, both slightly older models that are no less popular.

I don’t know how soon these will sell out, but at USD150 a pair, I suggest you find someone in the States who can get you a pair (or 4) pronto before they do yet again.

New colour alert, I repeat, new colour alert. Anyone for the pair in Hyper Orange/Vivid Purple/Black? #lovelovelove

Another ‘new’ colour combination that’s now available in selected markets for now (for those who have friends in the USA, get them to get you a pair pronto), the ones in Black/White/White, also known as the updated reissues from 2012 in Volt.

Good news for those who missed out on the original FlyKnit Racer the first time round, Nike has reissued the one fondly known as the Oreo, which has made its appearance online via Nike USA. Priced at USD150, it’s another case of fastest fingers first (and who you know in the States) since they will be snapped up really, really fast. #happyshopping

It never ends, does it? New colour combination spotted on Nike USA, the Flyknit Racer in Blue Glow/Black/White that’s just calling out to me. USD150 online a pop, happy shopping guys.

New month, new colour combinations. On the top, the Fireberry/Pink Flash/Volt Flyknit Racer that’s perhaps more suited for the ladies and the more metrosexual of men, on the bottom, the one in Neo Turquoise/Glacier Ice/Bright Crimson that’s officially also become the 7th pair of my own collection. Yes, the obsession, my obsession, never stops.

You should know the drill by now. New month, new Flyknit Racer sneakers in a colour combination you’ll either hate or love. This one they’re calling Game Royal/Pink Flash/Black. Still USD150, still only available online via Nike US. Game?
