Pedder on Scotts: The Shoe Heaven Of Orchard Road

You could say that the Pedder Group will be stepping on everyone’s toes with the opening of their 20,000 sq ft store at Scotts Square which opens to the public this Thursday (1 October 2015). Why? 20,000 sq ft at Scotts Square is equivalent to an entire level at Scotts Square (Level 2, if you must know) and besides the latest bags and accessories from the chicest designer brands to up-and-coming labels everybody wants, it’s quite literally shoe heaven up there.

Divided into 6 distinct sections with a coffee bar thrown in for good measure (and it’s none other than The Coffee Academics all the way from Hong Kong), you’ll find the established shoe brands like Charlotte Olympia, Christian Louboutin, MGSM, Sophia Webster and Valentino, just to name a few. And then there’s Pedder Red, Pedder Group’s own in-house shoe label that’s always on trend at the right prices. Moving along, there’s a section for the men (read: more shoes for boys, from Joshua Sanders to Giuseppe Zanotti, for example).

The kids aren’t left out either (they have a section called Cool Kids all to themselves) with running the gamut from affordable labels like Herschel and Melissa to pricier options from Charlotte Olympia and Stuart Weitzman. Another section is devoted to our national love of flip-flops and sandals, which means you find everything from Birkenstocks to Fitflop to Havaianas and Melissa with nary a Crocs (thank God) in sight. And last but not least, there’s even a cool sneaker section, and by cool sneakers I mean everything hip and limited from the likes of Adidas, Converse, Nike, Reeboks, Superga and Vans, which are only the tip of this giant shoe iceberg.

In other words, whether you looking for the dressy or the casual, the pricey or the affordable, along with everything in-between, #PedderonScotts is quite literally quite unrivalled when it comes to indulging all your shoe fetishes. I would know, I left with my own pair of Insta Pump Fury from Reebok and I don’t even like that brand that much.
