Gucci: Alessandro Michele’s F/W15 Collection Launches Monday In Singapore

gucci_alessandro michele-fw15-collection-launch-monday-sg1 For those of you who love most everything Alessandro Michele has done for Gucci’s upcoming F/W15 collection, it’s time to put everything else down and thaw that credit card hiding in the back of your freezer. Because come Monday (13 July 2015), Gucci will be launching key pieces from the collection in Singapore for both men and women, from bags to shoes and yes, even those massively coveted rings.

gucci_alessandro michele-fw15-collection-launch-monday-sg2 First, the shoes. Causing quite the sensation when the first images popped up online, you’ll be pleased to know that Gucci Singapore will be carrying two styles. Simply known as the Princeton (the fur slipper) and the Jordaan (the fur loafer), both styles will be available for men and priced at SGD1320 and SGD1410 respectively. For the ladies, however, only the Princeton will be available, and that’s also priced at SGD1320 a pair.

The sartorial statement piece for the season, these are the shoes that will turn heads as you saunter down Orchard Road. Or just down the length of your bedroom if you want to be precious with them.

Simply known as the Dionysus, this gorgeous shoulder sling is adorned with antiqued hardware tiger-head crest and matching chain sling, with this particular one detailed with a geranium print that’s seriously too pretty to resist. Lined with suede, you’ll find a trio of compartments on the inside, one of which has a zip for added security.

But for those who prefer something larger, you can opt for the one in Medium which measures 30 cm by 20, which is just a tad bigger. Available in Singapore as well but without the print, that will retail for just SGD3040.

Last but by no means least, those rings. Each more elaborate than the next, Alessandro drew inspiration from his own antique ring collection, which he wears on a daily basis and according to Vogue, ‘no fewer than eleven rings—some stacked three to a finger’. Some feature coiled serpents, others have tiger heads and in beautifully vintaged tones of gold and silver, you’ll also find a selection of these rings at Gucci come Monday priced from between SGD430 and SGD1100 apiece.

Is your credit card thawing yet?

I have mixed emotions of love and hate for the slippers, I just can’t pinpoint which is which. My mind tells me to hate because it almost resembles Scrouge of Sesame Street but my heart I want it so badly! I know this is one on the footwear my parents will say “You’d spend how much again for that?!” Hah!
