Don’t be surprised the next time you step into a Dior boutique and spot an all-canvas bag, a rarity these days considering the French luxury house’s emphasis on leather bags and SLGs these days. But with it being the height of summer right now, it also makes perfect sense to have something light and fuss-free that one can carry into the ‘great outdoors’ without much worries.

Sporting an illustration created by artist René Gruau, himself a friend of Christian Dior and a contributor towards Dior’s early ad campaigns when it was all the rage to have beautifully illustrated ads, the bag is made almost entirely of canvas and comes topped with a pair of leather handles. It also packs two longer chain-linked handles that I know most women will appreciate, especially when it means they can carry the bag with ease over the shoulder.

Available in 2 sizes (and 2 colours, Pink and White), the tote is also now available at Dior boutiques in Singapore, where it’s priced at SGD3400 and SGD3700 respectively for the Medium (30 cm by 25 cm) and the Large (35 cm by 29 cm).

And with Mother’s Day just around the corner, I’m also quite confident that this tote is also one bag that most Mums will (and can) love.
